When you decide to go camping, one of the main reasons for it is to be as close to nature as possible, to be able to hear the humming of the birds, the sound of the river, the silence of the night and the perfect peacefulness of the wilderness setting that the South Chilcotin Holiday can offer. I had the amazing opportunity to be able to help build the prospector luxury tent. I learnt much about carpentry techniques and the process that a carpenter goes through before starting to work on the project. The whole team was invested in the building of the tent while we were having good fun and working hard. This was another amazing opportunity that happened once again at the Ranch. The luxury tent is now built and looks amazing; it has the best of both worlds. The comfort of a nice comfy bed with the necessary furniture and the warmth of a roof over your head, as well as the closeness to nature. You just have to step outside to enjoy the beautiful view of the South Chilcotin Mountains and not many people can say that they have the chance to wake up in such an amazing setting; the freshness and pureness of the air with the peaceful noises of the birds and squirrels. As much as waking up is wonderful, going to bed with the mountains in sight and the sun slowly setting, reflecting it's beautiful yellow and red colour as it is changing with the night. The best thing about being in the tent is that one moment you can be outside staring at a beautiful and magical clear sky with the stars shining back at you and the second you feel tired or cold you are able to just step in your tent and cuddle in your sleeping bag for the night. This is the best way to just relax and ressource yourself and take a break from your busy city life. I love sleeping in the tent, there is enough space to sleep, relax and room for you to unpack your clothes and belongings to feel just like at home! It is a very exciting adventure to live by yourself or with your family. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be able to experience the true South Chilcotin wilderness experience!
